For those caught unaware, 'Salaar' is set amid the crime-ridden fictional city of Khansaar. In the film, Prithviraj's character tries to claim the city’s lordship and for that, he needs the help of his friend Salaar, played by Prabhas. Despite the fan frenzy for Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki', which released in theatres a day prior December 21, the viewers turned up in huge numbers to watch Prabhas' mass entertainer as well. Looks like it would be a tough fight between the SRK and Prabhas starrer at the box office.

Meanwhile, soon the first show ended, social media users posted their reviews of the film on X. Check them out:

In fact, after the film's release, several fans were clicked celebrating outside various theatres across India. Visuals of the audience heading to the cinema halls early in the morning to watch the first show have surfaced on social media.

Unlike Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, the celebrations in Mumbai for Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's 'Salaar' were quite low, and might be affected due to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’.

Nonetheless, ‘Salaar’ does let the audience dive deep into the world of Khansaar promising adrenaline boosting action, guns and gore galore.
