Two mega movies of the year 'Dunki' and 'Salaar' are all set to clash at the box office. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer is releasing on December 21 while Prabhas' film will hit the screens on December 22. The advance bookings for both movies have started and 'Dunki' is ahead of 'Salaar' as of now. We have come to know from insiders that there has been a huge fight going on between the distributors as 'Dunki's distributors don't want to share screens with 'Salaar'.

Film exhibitor, Lokendra Jain told Outlook India that 'Salaar' has been working very well since Tuesday in advance booking. When asked about how much it will earn on Day 1, he said it will be crossing Rs 20-25 crore.

He also added that 'Dunki' will face tough competition with 'Salaar' because the film is not just about Prabhas, it's about the director, Prashanth Neel who has given movies like 'KGF Part 1 and 2' and both have done great business. ''In my opinion, both films will do very well,'' he said.

''There is a fight going on between the distributors which is very wrong. They are not trying to understand the problem because of which exhibitors are suffering. The distributors of Dunki want all the cinemas and so as Salaar. Many of the cinemas have not yet opened for Salaar,'' shared Jain.

Jain also said that it was ridiculous of the makers to release it with 'Dunki'. He said that it could have been released on December 17 or 18 where there were no big releases.

Another film distributor, Swarndeep Vishwakarma shared that 'Dunki' is having more traction than 'Salaar ' in the North belt. Talking about the first-day box office collection of the latter, he predicted it won't collect more than Rs 40-45 crore.

Meanwhile, the actioner has got an A certificate from the Censor Board.
