'Ganapath' Box Office: Tiger Shroff-Kriti Sanon Starrer Witnesses Drop On Day 2

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Ganapath-A Hero Is Born' hit the screens on October 20. The movie has been directed by Vikas Bahl. The dystopian action film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and it opened to mixed reviews. As per a report in Sacnilk, 'Ganapath' earned Rs 2.5 crore on day 1. It had an overall occupancy of 9.72% (Hindi) on Friday. 

On Saturday, day 2, the collection dropped as the film collected Rs 2.25 crore. So, the total collection of 'Ganapath' stands at Rs 4.75 crore. It had an overall 10.19 % occupancy in the Hindi belt. 

The film is about Tiger’s character Guddu who transforms into Ganapath, a mercenary, who saves his people from the dangerous syndicate led by Dalini. Reportedly, the high-octane action sequences are choreographed by Hollywood action stunt director Tim Man, who is known for his work in films like 'Triple Threat', 'Legacy Of Lies' and 'Accident Man'.

For the unversed, 'Ganapath' is Tiger Shroff's lowest opener at the box office. His last film 'Heropanti 2' made Rs 6.50 crore on the opening day. 'Baaghi 3' made Rs 17 crore on the opening day. 'War' is his biggest opener till now. It also starred Hrithik Roshan and made Rs 53.35 crore on opening day.

'Ganapath' is Tiger and Kriti's second film together after their debut 'Heropanti' in 2014.

'Ganapath' clashed with Thalapathy Vijay’s 'Leo', that has taken the box office by storm. 'Yaariyan 2' also locked horns with the Tiger Shroff starrer and it pocketed only Rs 60 lakh on the opening day.
