India won six medals on the final day of Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 Monday to finish fourth in the overall standings behind Australia (178), England (176), and Canada (92). In the previous edition (Gold Coast 2018), India had won 66 to finish third. This time, India's medal haul was severely dented by the absence of shooting. The final day started with table tennis star Sathiyan Gnanasekaran winning the men's singles bronze medal play-off. It was followed by three gold medals from the badminton court, with PV Sindhu (women's singles), Lakshya Sen (men's singles), and the pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy (men's doubles) winning their respective finals. Veteran table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal won the men's singles final but the men's hockey team was humbled by Australia in the final. Catch Commonwealth Games 2022 day 11 highlights:
