Steve Smith and Daryl Mitchell among the notable International players in the RAPP sheet
It is a list of all the players that went unsold in IPL 2026 Auctions
The players from this list can be bought at no less than their actual reserve price documented in the list
The process of assembling a strong squad for an Indian Premier League season is not a one-time process that ends with the conclusion of the auctions.
Since the nature of sport and player availability is volatile, there are instances of injuries and player withdrawal, leaving franchises to look for replacement players to fill the void.
If such a situation arises, then the franchises always have the option of heading to the Registered Available Player Pool, also known as the RAPP sheet.
It is a list of unsold players who registered for the auction and didn't withdraw during the process. The franchises can always pick replacement players for the subsequent season from this list, if the situation arises.
The BCCI has recently released a list of 1,307 players who went unsold in the December 16 auction in Abu Dhabi.
The RAPP list comprises some of the biggest names in the cricketing world, including Reece Topley, Jamie Smith, Jonny Bairstow, and Steve Smith. Daryl Mitchell, who has been a nemesis of India in the 50-over format in recent times, is also at No.98 on the list with a base price of INR 2 crore.
Some of the notable Indian capped players, who feature in the list, are Umesh Yadav, Mayank Agarwal, KS Bharat, Deepak Hooda, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya, Sandeep Warrier and Umesh Yadav. All these players have a base price of INR 75 lakhs.
To be included in the RAPP list, the following criteria must have been fulfilled:
i) The player must have registered himself for the auction process
ii) He must not have withdrawn from the Player Auction Process
iii) No franchise can buy a player from this list at a price lower than his actual reserve price, set by the player on the RAPP list
It's a general practice for the franchises to call players as net bowlers from this list; however, if that player is picked up by another franchise as a replacement and the player agrees to it, then the previous franchise will have to release the player.
