During an episode of ‘Call Her Daddy’, Taylor Lautner opened up about how it was Taylor Swift who ended their relationship. But, he also went on to reveal that the two have moved on from that and are rekindling a good bond of friendship.

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner dated back in the year 2009. Reports suggest that the two began dating after meeting on the sets of their film together ‘Valentine’s Day’. The two were the hottest couple in town and people from all over the world wished to have boyfriends and girlfriends who looked that hot. However, after a whirlwind romance, the two decided to part ways amicably. It was years later that the two came together once again when Taylor Lautner acted in the video of Taylor Swift’s song from ‘Speak Now’ titled ‘Back To December’.

The Break-Up
Talking of the break-up on ‘Call Her Daddy’, Taylor Lautner said, “I think when you respect somebody for who they are, like in their soul, it allows you to move on, forgive and continue that love in a different way. I’m thinking back on exactly what happened. But no, yeah, she did.” As per a report on Billboard, he even went on to exclaim ‘absolutely’ at one point of the show when referring to whether Taylor Swift ended things up.
Rekindling Friendship
However, the two decided to remain cordial to each other post the split. He said that they “stayed friendly, we would see each other now and then. But we then did fall out of touch and didn’t talk for a while.”

What is interesting is that the two did have an amicable break-up and had the deepest respect for each other always. He said, he “always had the deepest respect for who she is as a person before anything else.”
But it was only recently that the two were seen together again. Taylor Lautner not only was seen in the video of one of Taylor Swift’s new songs, but he was also present on stage during one of the initial performances of the song. It seems that the two have let bygones be bygones and decided to remain friends.
“Honestly I would say one of the greater things to happen in my life over the last year is the rekindling of our friendship,” Taylor Lautner said while talking about the two getting back together as friends.

On one hand, it was her birthday on December 13, which brought forth all the Swifties wanting to read and talk more about her. On the other hand, it was her film, ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’, which was also released on Amazon Prime Video on the same day. The film has been garnering great reviews and people have been lapping on to the film trying to get a glimpse of what being in a concert of Taylor Swift feels like.
