Prabhas Has Not Donated Rs 50 Crore To Ram Mandir, His Team Calls It 'Fake News'

Before the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, it was rumoured that Prabhas had donated Rs 50 crore to the temple. However, a member of his team has cleared the air.

Actor Prabhas has been making headlines for quite some time now. Previously, he was in the news for his film ‘Salaar’ which broke records. Now the actor is in the news because rumours of him donating Rs 50 crore for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya went viral. However, the actor’s team has come forward and has refuted these claims as fake news.

Ahead of the Ram Temple inauguration in Ayodhya, multiple celebrities have been invited. A lot of them had also made donations for the construction of this temple. Amidst this news, rumours started circulating on the internet that claimed Prabhas donated Rs 50 crore to the temple. Additionally, it was also rumoured that he would take care of the food expenses of the event. The rumours also grew when Andhra Pradesh MLA Chirla Jaggireddy claimed that the actor would pay for the food expenses at the inauguration.

India Today reached out to the actor and the team to confirm the same. Replying to the news portal, a member of Prabhas’ team refuted these rumours. The source called it “fake news.” While a lot of celebrities from the South have been invited to the inauguration ceremony, it is unclear if Prabhas also received an invitation for the same.

On the work front, the Telugu actor is currently basking in the success of ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ which crossed Rs 400 crores at the box office in India. The actor is busy shooting for his upcoming film – ‘The Raja Saab’ – which is being helmed by Maruthi. He also has ‘Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam' and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Spirit' lined up as his next projects.
