Natasha Bharadwaj started her career as a model and starred in the web series 'Pawan And Pooja' but it was the medical drama 'Mumbai Diaries 26/11' in 2021 that earned her name and fame. Natasha got a lot of appreciation for her performance and she bagged IMDb “Breakout” STARmeter Award and Indian Television Academy Award. She played Dr Diya Parekh in the show and the diva feels that it is the turning point of her career. She is also grateful that she got such a beautifully written role where she could prove herself as an actor.
Natasha told Outlook, "'Mumbai Diaries' definitely gave me the character that I could really explore and show my potential as an actor. I am grateful that I got such an interestingly and beautifully written part where I could perform and that has definitely impacted people in a very different way. I had people coming up to me and very strongly feeling for Dr Diya's character because she goes through a lot of anxiety and depression and this is something a lot of people resonate with especially in today's time. So, definitely, it was a turning point".
'Mumbai Diaries Season 2' is all set to be back this year. When asked what we can expect from the upcoming season, Natasha shared, "The beauty about Season 1 was the fact that it was written so well in terms of the characters and it's about such a sensitive topic. 'Mumbai Diaries Season 2' is also about a very sensitive topic and the twists and turns are completely different. Dr Diya has grown from what she was previously and again she has a very beautiful track and I have had a very good time exploring the same character but in a very different way."
She added, "The nuances, feelings, emotions and approaches towards situations are different. So, I am really looking forward to people seeing it and seeing how different it is because it's different to create a new character but it's a different ball game to create the same character again with a different kind of moving forward in life. It's very surreal. It's like in life you are a certain kind of person but when something very sad or big happens to you, there is a certain thing inside you that shifts and moves and how you become a different person even without realising it. It's so subtle. That's what I had to find out with Dr Diya in Season 2. So, I am really excited and nervous at the same time about it. I hope the audience enjoys it".
Natasha was last seen in 'Ishq Next Door'. She is a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan and expresses her desire to do a romantic film with him.
