Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios has been announced as the winner of the Miss Universe 2023 title. The 72nd annual Miss Universe pageant took place at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 19 (As per IST). The event was hosted by the TV presenters, Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Maria Menounos and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.
Miss Universe, R'Bonney Gabriel, from the United States, passed on her crown to her successor at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant. R'Bonney Gabriel was on stage as the crowd applauded the new winner, Sheynnis Palacios.
90 contestants from around the world competed for the coveted title of Miss Universe.
Shweta Sharda represented India at the 72nd Miss Universe contest. The 2023 Miss Diva Universe winner is from Chandigarh and she appeared in several dance reality shows. She went as far as the semi-final round.
Indian viewers watched the competition on Miss Universe's X (formerly Twitter) account and YouTube channel starting at 6:30 am (Indian Standard Time) on November 19, 2023.
