On the occasion of Republic Day today on January 26, Kartik Aaryan shared another riveting look from his upcoming film, ‘Chandu Champion’. In the picture, Kartik is seen dressed in a uniform, and managed to impress his fans as he sent out Republic Day wishes.

Sharing the photo, he wrote, “Being a champion is in every Indian’s blood… Jai Hind Happy Republic Day ❤️ #ChanduChampion.”

For all the right reasons, the image went viral and fans could not help but comment on it. While one wrote, “What a powerful look,” another commented, “Chandu champion is here to rule”.” A third comment read as, “You look so smart in the uniformI can’tn’t wait for Chandu Champion anymore ✨❤️.”

Directed and written by Kabir Khan, ‘Chandu Champion’ is a sports drama and it reportedly revolves around the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming. Kartik Aaryan is all set to play the lead role, while the other star cast includes Bhuvan Arora, Palak Lalwani, and Adonis Kapsalis. The film is set to release on June 14.

Kartik Aaryan has now been making all the right noises with his content-driven films.

Earlier, in an interview with BBC Asia, Kartik talked about preparing for ‘Chandu Champion’, and wrote, “There’s a lot of weight transformation you’ll see throughout the film, so there will be a gap of like 2 months for me to again bulk up. And Kabir (Khan) sir is super—the way he’s shooting it and the way he’s looking into the other details. We were shooting at the Olympian Centre in London, and it was really hectic because I had a 102 fever and had to go in the water, which was cold. Every day, I would just take 3-4 pills before going into the water, then again, my viral would come back, then again it would subside, and then come back because I performed water scenes.”

On June 14, ‘Chandu Champion’ is set to clash with Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’, which was earlier slated for a November 2023 release. ‘Emergency’ also features Anupam Kher as opposition leader J. P. Narayan, while Shreyas Talpade plays former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Milind Soman will be seen as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

Besides ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik will soon start filming for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Aashiqui 3’. He also has Hansal Mehta’s ‘Captain India’, the Hindi remake of ‘Kirik Party’, and an untitled film with Karan Johar, in the pipeline.
