Kangana Ranaut Takes Fresh Swipe At Taapsee Pannu After Upbringing Remark Resurfaces

Kangana Ranaut has reignited her long-running feud with Taapsee Pannu after the latter made a pointed remark about their upbringing while discussing their differences. Kangana responded with two sharply worded Instagram Stories aimed at Taapsee, though both posts were deleted by Sunday morning.

In her first post, Kangana referred to Taapsee as a “sasti copy”, a phrase previously used against the actor during their public feud. She accused Taapsee of ridiculing her upbringing and parents, adding that she had never brought anyone’s family into their disagreements.

“Today she crossed all limits shamelessly ridiculing my upbringing /parents,” Kangana wrote. She then questioned why Taapsee’s parents had not produced someone “original like my parents did”.

In a second Story, Kangana directly addressed Taapsee while sharing a report about her recent comments. She defended her family background and said her decision to start her career from scratch should not have become a reason to attack her parents.

What Taapsee Pannu Said About Kangana Ranaut

Taapsee had spoken about Kangana while promoting her upcoming Netflix film Gandhari. In an interview with India Today, she said she had never met Kangana and suggested that their differing views reflected how each actor had been brought up.

“My opinion on her is reflective of my upbringing and my way of talking, my way of perceiving things and hers,” Taapsee was quoted as saying. She added that Kangana stood by her own views and said people could decide “who comes from where”.

The feud dates back to 2019, when Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel called Taapsee a “sasti copy”. It escalated further in 2020 amid debates around nepotism and Bollywood outsiders. Despite their differences, Taapsee has previously said she remains open to becoming friends with Kangana.
