'OMG 2' starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam has been embroiled in controversies before its release. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film with an A certificate and Akshay's character was also modified to a messenger of Lord Shiva. 'OMG 2' talks about the sensitive subject of sex education in schools. Earlier, in interviews Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam expressed their disappointment over CBFC's decision. Now, Akshay has also reacted to it.

In a video shared on subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip on the social media platform Reddit on Saturday, Akshay Kumar went to a theatre in Mumbai to watch the film with the audience. After the screening, he interacted with the cine-goers and taking a jibe at CBFC, he said, "Kamaal ki baat bataun, pehli adult film hai jo teenagers ke liye bani hai (The funny thing is that this is the first adult film which is made for teenagers)."

The actor also thanked the audience for watching the film.

'OMG 2' is a sequel to the 2012 hit film 'OMG - Oh My God!' that starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar. The sequel is directed by Amit Rai, and it released in theatres with Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2'. It was unexpected to do well at the box office but fared well on Day 1. Though it started off with a single-digit but on Day 2, the movie earned a whopping amount of Rs 14.50 crore.
