'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan is one of the most anticipated movies. The film is returning after 27 years and from the teaser, it seems it is worth the wait.
Kamal Haasan returns as Indian in the film's second instalment and it has taken the internet by storm already. The new promo, called ‘Indian 2 Intro' was unveiled yesterday and it shows Kamal in multiple looks.
On Friday, November 3, Lyca Productions unveiled an almost 2-minute-long teaser with the caption: “Vanakkam India. Indian is back. Presenting Indian-2 An Intro.”
The teaser of 'Indian 2' opens with Kamal Haasan who is totally unrecognisable, making a call from a phone booth as he disguises himself as a suited-up man with grey hair and moustache. He tells the person on the other side, “Jaha pe anyay hoga, main waha zaroor aaunga, hindustani ki maut nahi hogi'. Then a helicopter lands.

It also shows how rich people are spending money and the poor are paying heavy bribes to get their job done. A government employee denies a bribe of Rs 6.5 lakh and asks Rs 8 lakh and another government employee rejects a contract for not being paid the bribe amount he demands.
It shows a lot of injustice is going around the country and people tweeting about #ComeBackIndian to call their messiah. There are violence and chaos everywhere in the country and people are asking for the ‘Indian’ to return. The clip concludes with Kamal Haasan returning, with Subhas Chandra Bose’s picture in the background, and the actor wearing a Khakhi cap and uniform. He states, “Greetings India, Indian is back.”

We also get glimpses of Siddharth, who is seen wearing a plate of currency notes on his chest. Rakul Preet Singh and Kajal Aggarwal are also seen in the video.

'Indian 2' went on floors in 2019 and in 2020, the shoot was halted after a crane collapsed on the set, leading to the deaths of 3 people and 10 injured. It is helmed by S Shankar.
