Azeez Abdulla Appointed As The President Of Achievers Olympiad Foundation

In a bid to retain & boost the good spirit of India's performance at Tokyo Olympics 2020, a Non-Profit & Non-Government Foundation, Achievers Olympiad, was recently launched. The launch event was held at Grand Hyatt Goa. Mr. Azeez Abdulla, the selected President of the association, and all Government dignitaries were seen sharing the podium with much enthusiasm.

The Achievers Olympiad Foundation was launched by the Hon'ble Minister of State Commerce and Industry Govt. Of India, Mr. Som Parkash with Prof. S.P Singh Baghel, Hon'ble Minister of Law and Justice Govt. Of India. The other eminent dignitaries present were Nilesh Cabral (Hon'ble Minister of Power Environment Non-Conventional Sources of Energy Law and Judiciary, Government of Goa), Govind Gaude (Minister of Art & Culture, Tribal Welfare, Civil supplies & Consumer Affairs, Co-operation, Govt. of Goa), Basavaraj Shivalingappa Horatti, Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council, Govt. of Karnataka, Shri Vinay Tendulkar (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha), Smt. Sunita Duggal ( Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha)& Padma Shri Kumar Sanu (Indian Playback Singer), Padma Shri Manoj Joshi ( Indian Actor).

Apart from the above political and social personalities, all the top brass of the Achievers Olympiad Foundation were also spotted on occasion. Along with newly appointed President Mr Azeez Abdulla, the General Secretary of the Foundation Mr. Mr PK Choudhary& Vice President -Mr BP Baranwal with trustee-Mr Vinod Bhidhuri and Mr Narsingh Mengji (trustee &Chairperson) were also present.

The way Indian players have performed in recent times on all global sports platforms shows that if provided with sufficient facilities and environment, we can produce more and more medallists from every nook and corner of our country. Hence the Achievers Olympiad Foundation is conceptualized on keeping this vision in mind. The association will be fully dedicated to promoting games, physical education, sports science, research, and youth & social activities at the national and international level to spread the Olympic movement throughout the nation.

This School Games & Activity Development Foundation is created with a vision to serve the state and nation with programs in sports, events, social events, health, Scout, and guide and activity. The association's role is to find and prepare aspiring sportspeople out of all age groups and physical abilities. The main mission is to motivate children, physically, disabled, intellectually challenged, young men & women, and professionals to pursue a full-fledged career in sports.

Mr. Azeez Abdulla says," We as an Indian association are just taking forward the dream of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the man responsible for the growth of 'Olympism' in the modern age. India is filled with talented people. the idea is to identify their hidden talent and turn it into their passion." The President further elaborated on the modus operandi of the organization. "We will be setting up academies across the nation where specialized training will be provided to all players. All possible and necessary steps will be undertaken that will make it possible for each player to compete in state, national & international events with a greater degree of confidence."

The association believes that the essence of any sport is passion. Nothing is more important in life than having a passion for what one does. School Games & Activity Development Foundation, in its endeavour, plans to promote talented players, offering financial assistance to needy players through sponsorship and grants, conduct sports classes or camps with proper infrastructure, equipment, etc. and in doing so, it will be seen that no talent is left out because of any discrimination based on religion, race, caste, colour or creed.
