Kevin De Bruyne steered Belgium to a 3-2 friendly win over Germany in new coach Domenico Tedesco’s return home on Tuesday.
RB Leipzig was formed in 2009. They lost the German Cup final last year to Borussia Dortmund and in 2019 to Bayern Munich.
The 34-year-old Alderweireld, who plays for Antwerp in the Belgian league after stints at Ajax, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham, made his debut with the national squad in 2009.
Tedesco replaces Roberto Martinez, who was in charge of the team for six years.
