After a rewarding Day 6 for the Indian contingent at the Hangzhou Asian Games, Day 7 was an equally delightful one as the racket sports really lead the way with some historic performances. The Indian men's squash team beat Pakistan in a blockbuster final to clinch the gold, and Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale bagged gold in tennis mixed doubles final. India’s Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee are doing really well in their match against China’s world No 2 pair of Chen Meng and Wang Yidi. The Indians have won the first two games are just one game away from scripting history by winning India's first-ever TT women's doubles Asiad medal.

Mirabai Chanu missed out on a medal, but India's other weightlifter Bindyarani Devi will look to finish on the podium in the women's 55kg category.
