Rawal opened the innings with Smriti Mandhana in her debut outing for India and the duo put up a solid 100-run opening stand, the first for India in almost two years. Rawal was ultimately dismissed in the 24th over for 40 from 69 balls.

Who is Pratika Rawal?

Rawal, 24, is a right-hander who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket. She has done really well in the past few years leading to her debut for India.

She first took up cricket at the age of 10 and built her academic as well as cricketing career at the same time. A student of psychology, the 24-year-old has racked up some brilliant numbers in the past few years.

The Delhi girl also was a big name in the Delhi Women's Premier League. She played for East Delhi Riders and scored 93 runs in just two fixtures. Her current record in List A is very impressive with 1,368 runs and a solid average of 54.72.
