Australia's premier bowler Scott Boland etched his name in Test cricket history by taking a hat-trick against the West Indies in the Third Test of the series at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
The Australian pacer achieved this feat at the start of the fourteenth over of the West Indies second innings, when he dismissed Justin Greaves, Shamar Joseph and Jomel Warrican in consecutive deliveries to seal the victory for the visitors.
By doing so, Boland also became the first-ever bowler to register a hat-trick in a pink-ball Test. Boland along with Mitchell Starc, ran through the West Indies batting order as the hosts crumbled to a paltry 27 all out. Boland finished with figures of 2-1-2-3 as Australia won by 176-runs to complete a series sweep.
West Indies' total of 27 in their second innings against Australia in the third Test was the second-lowest total in Test cricket history, only behind New Zealand’s 26 against England in 1955.

Starc, who was playing his 100th Test, also took six wickets for nine runs and plus made more record along the way as the 35-year-old's first 15 deliveries saw him deliver the fastest five-wicket haul in Test history.

Australia’s bowlers dominated the series after winning the first two Tests — by 159 runs in Barbados then by 133 runs in Grenada — to sweep the Frank Worrell Trophy.
