Opting to field first, Sydney were off to a very good start picking up three Strikers wickets in the first six overs.
However, Ollie Pope (57 off 39) and Alex Ross (48 off 37) stitched a solid rescue job, with Jamie Overton’s late assistance to take the hosts to 182/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing a par total, the Sixers were up and running with Smith attacking from the get-go.
