Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, a favourite to win the tournament, will be the major star attraction in the quarter-finals. Sindhu was stretched to three sets in her pre-qaurterfinals game against Ira Sharma who is ranked outside top 100.
Sindhu will face another player out of the top 100 in quarter-final, China's Wang Dai who is ranked 117. Unnati Hooda, Shriyanshi Valishetty and former junior world No. 1 Tasnim Mir are the Indian quarter-finalists.
