Tim Cook Meets PM Modi Ahead Of Apple’s Second Store Opening In Delhi

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook will open the iPhone giant’s second store in the country in Delhi’s Saket’s Select Mall tomorrow.

Expressing his delight to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Apple CEO Tim Cook on Wednesday his company is committed to invest across India.

While thanking Modi for welcoming him in the country, Cook said: “…We share your vision of the positive impact technology can make on India’s future — from education and developers to manufacturing and the environment, we’re committed to growing and investing across the country”.

Modi also responded to Cook’s gesture, saying: “…Glad to exchange views on diverse topics and highlight the tech-powered transformations taking place in India”. 

The meet between Modi and Cook comes ahead of Apple opening its second store in the country after Mumbai.

Earlier, Cook had meet Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, reported NDTV.

Cook will open second Apple store in the country in Delhi’s Saket’s Select Mall tomorrow. Huge crowd is expected at the national capital’s Saket tomorrow to witness the inauguration of the store.

Huge crowds were witnessed during the inauguration of the Apple’s first ever store in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
