A Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) poster showing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as the prime minister candidate for the 2024 General Elections caught the media's attention.

The poster was taken down shortly after it was pulled up on Sunday by the General Secretary of RJD's Women Cell to avoid any controversy, Poonam Rai. The poster is said to reflect RJD's high hopes pinned on Nitish Kumar as a national leader, despite Kumar's repeated assertion of not being too keen on becoming the PM.

Several leaders of the opposition were featured in the poster including Kumar's Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Tamil Nadu CM Stalin, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav circled a seated Kumar in the poster, exhibiting his ability to unite the opposition.
