Thousands Flee To South Gaza As Israeli Invasion Looks Imminent

As Israeli invasion of Gaza Strip to wage a decisive war against Hamas looks imminent, thousands of Palestinians are fleeing from North Gaza to the southern parts of the region. Israel had earlier told civilians to vacate North Gaza as they would come in between the two battling sides. Israel has been carrying out airstrikes in Gaza against Hamas since last week's attack by Hamas on Israel that killed at least 1,600 Israel and injured over 3,600. A large number of civilian casualties have, however, also taken place in Gaza, with latest figures saying that at least 2,300 have been killed and over 9,000 have been injured.
