Actress Shilpa Shirodkar has tested positive for Covid-19. She took to social media to inform her fans about being Covid positive.
On Monday, taking to her Instagram handle, Shilpa shared a note and urged everyone to stay save and wear masks.
“Hello people! I have been tested positive for COVID. Stay safe and wear your mask!- Shilpa Shirodkar.” For the caption, she wrote, “Stay Safe," she wrote.
As soon as she shared the news, her peers from the industry and fans wished her speedy recovery. One user wrote “Get well soon" while another said, “Take care shilpa ji.”
"Oh god!!! Take care shilpaaa… speedy recovery ❤️❤️," commented Sonakshi Sinha. Shirodkar's Bigg Boss 18 co-contestant Chum Darang wrote, "Get well soon" with a red heart emoji. Deanne Panday wrote, "It’s on the air .. a lot getting it .. mask 😷 on most important.. get well soon my darling".
Shilpa's sister Namrata Shirodkar also commented with a "Get well soon" message.
On the work front, Shilpa Shirodkar will be seen in Jatadhara, which stars Sonakshi Sinha, Sudheer Babu, Ravi Prakash, Divya Vij, and Rain Anjali, among others.
As per reports, there have been a surge in Covid-19 cases in several Asian countries, including Singapore and Hong Kong, in recent weeks. As per health officials the rise in new cases may be due to a decline in overall immunity within the population and less number of elderly citizens receiving Covid booster doses.
Reportedly, Singapore has recorded around 14,200 cases as of May 3, which is significant 28% rise compared to last year. In a statement, the Singapore Ministry of Health stated, “There is no indication that the variants circulating locally are more transmissible or cause more severe disease compared to previously circulating variants.”
