The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was consecrated today. Many celebrities reached Ayodhya to witness this religious event. They shared pictures and videos from Ayodhya on their social media. However, Malayalam actor Parvathy Thiruvothu took to her social media to share a picture of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. The star is facing severe backlash for making this post.

Taking to her Instagram, Parvathy Thiruvothu shared a picture of the Preamble. The words, ‘Sovereign socialist secular democratic republic’ were written in bold. Sharing the Preamble from the Indian Constitution, she wrote, “OUR INDIA.” Her post has fetched over 70K likes in five hours.

Parvathy’s post has caused an uproar on social media. One section of fans is criticizing her, and she is facing severe backlash. People have left hateful comments on her post. One user wrote, “So Parvathy, let’s allow them to break our temple and forever stamp on it in the name of secularism? We don’t subscribe to such secularism.” While the other half has praised her. Another user commented, “When people are triggered by a page from the Constitution, you know they're in the wrong.”

Parvathy Thiruvothu made her debut in the Malayalam film – ‘Out of Syllabus’ – as Gayatri. Recently, she was seen in the Pankaj Tripathi starrer, ‘Kadak Singh’. The actress will be next seen in Pa Ranjith’s upcoming film – ‘Thangalaan.’ The film stars Vikram, Pasupathy, and Malvika Mohanan in lead roles.
