Honey Singh claimed that he has been "troubled" by a big music label.
The rapper said that the ongoing issues have hampered his music releases.
Had there been no such problems, he would have released five songs a month by now, he said.
Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has opened up about an issue he faced with a major music label, revealing that he has been “troubled” by them for quite some time. Honey Singh also alleged that it has affected his music, leading to a slowdown in his releases. The rapper took to his Instagram handle to share the matter. However, he didn't reveal the label’s name.
Honey Singh alleges harassment by music label
Honey, 43, in the video, said, “Ek label ne mujhe itna tang kiya hua hai... Mera Bholenath dekh raha hai. Agar unhe guroor hai ki woh bahut bade hain, toh woh ahankar toh Ravan ka bhi nahi raha, mere doston (A certain label has been harassing me so much... My Bholenath is watching. If they take pride in their stature, let me tell you, my friends—even Ravana’s arrogance did not last).”
The Love Dose crooner also claimed that the release of his music has slowed down due to these problems.
“These labels have really given me such a hard time—they’ve pestered me so much. Otherwise, I would have sent fives songs your way within just a month by now. They have been disturbing me so much up until now,” he added.
Teases collaboration with Emiway Bantai and praises Yash's look in Ramayana
In his career spanning over 23 years, the rapper has worked with some major music labels including T-Series, Zee Music Company, and Speed Records.
Despite the challenges, Honey expressed his desire to collaborate with Emiway Bantai and hinted that they might come up with the much-awaited track sometime this year.
Praising Yash, he said, "Yash is our brother from Bengaluru, and he's playing Ravana... Man, Yash bhai looks absolutely amazing!," adding he looked better than Ranbir Kapoor who plays Lord Rama in the film.
Honey Singh's recent release was God Style, written by Hommie Dilliwala, while the former handled the music production and composition.
He has also released Moonlight with Priceless, a peppy track. Jawani Iraqi with Simar Kaur and Rawme Hooda, and Body Roll, featuring Nora Fatehi, were his other releases.
