'Fighter': Siddharth Anand Reacts To Pak Actors Hania Aamir, Adnan Siddiqui Slamming Hrithik Roshan Starrer For 'Spreading Hate'

'Fighter' is one of the most-anticipated movies of this year. The Siddharth Anand directorial is all set to hit the screens on January 25. Recently, 'Fighter' trailer was unveiled and it evoked patriotic sentiments among the audience. The story of 'Fighter' reportedly revolves around “the deadliest terror attack on Indian air forces” in Pulwama and how the IAF officers avenge these attacks. Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor play IAF officers in the film. Well, it seemed that some Pakistani actors were not happy to see the trailer of 'Fighter'. Celebs like Hania Aamir and Adnan Siddiqui among others took to social media to slam the film for allegedly 'spreading hate'.

Hania wrote, “So sad and unfortunate to know that there are artists out there in this day and age who are aware of the power that the cinema holds and still go ahead and feed the riff between the two countries. I feel sorry for the artists who try to bridge the gap by trusting their art as a medium.” 

Director Siddharth Anand reacted to a post on X which questioned Hania Aamir for slamming 'Fighter'. The 'Pathaan' director dropped a thinking face emoji.

While reacting to another post about the 2018 Pakistani film 'Parwaaz Hai Junoon', Siddharth Anand wrote, “Oh!!”. The post read, “Parwaaz Hai Junoon was an anti-Indian Air Force movie and Hania Aamir starred in it''.

Actress Zara Noor shared a video and wrote, “It’s so funny to see Hrithik Roshan say that (India owns Kashmir) and Pakistan has occupied Kashmir. Would anyone like to ask Kashmiris about who they serve? Because they serve no one. Kashmiris deserve an independent state, full stop. India needs to move past its entitlement of making Kashmiris slaves. That narrative is too old.” She also slammed the makers for copying 'Top Gun' and not doing a ‘better job.’

Adnan Siddiqui, who was part of Sridevi’s film ‘Mom’ wrote, “Once celebrated for love, Bollywood now crafts hate-filled narratives, portraying us as villains. Despite our love for your films, it’s disheartening. Art transcends boundaries; let’s use it to promote love and peace. Two nations, victims of politics, deserve better.”
