On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar shared a new poster from his upcoming film, Bhooth Bangla. The actor also revealed that he has started filming for the film. Bhooth Bangla marks Akshay's reunion with filmmaker Priyadarshan after 14 years. The actor also announced the release date of Bhooth Bangla. The horror comedy will hit the screens on April 2, 2026.

Sharing the new poster of Bhooth Bangla on social media, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite @priyadarshan.official as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy #BhoothBangla today. Yeh darr aur hasi ka double dose aapke liye ready hoga 2nd April, 2026 ko! Tab tak ke liye aapke best wishes chahiye (This double dose of fear and laughter will be ready for you on April 2, 2026! Until then, I need your best wishes)."

Bhooth Bangla is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films. It is co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali. Akash A Kaushik has written the story and the screenplay is done by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. The dialogues are penned by Rohan Shankar.

As per reports, there will be three female leads in the film and Wamiqa Gabbi is one of them. Bhooth Bangla is said to be based on black magic and Akshay is playing a magician. 

Apart from Bhooth Bangla, Akshay also has Welcome to the Jungle, Haiwaan and Hera Pheri 3 in his kitty. The actor is currently hosting Wheel of Fortune India on Sony Entertainment Television.
