Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947 box office collection: Emraan Hashmi and Sunny Deol-led films clashed at the box office on August 14. The former is a sequel to the 2007 film Awarapan, while the latter is a Partition drama, which marks the reunion of Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi after 30 years. Emraan's film opened to mostly positive reviews and performed strongly at the box office, overpowering the Sunny-starrer, which failed to live up to audience expectations.
Awarapan 2 is now inching closer to the ₹200 crore mark at the worldwide box office, while Batwara 1947 somehow managed to cross the ₹50 crore mark globally.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film remained steady on Day 10 and generated an estimated ₹8.75 crore net in domestic box office collections across 13,632 shows nationwide.
This latest addition pushes the movie's total domestic net earnings to Rs ₹136.25 crore. Its gross India collection has reached ₹162.50 crore. The tenth-day receipts mark a 6.1% increase compared to the ₹8.25 crore collected on Day 9.
It opened at ₹22 crore net. Earnings surged on Day 2, minting ₹33.75 crore and dipped on Day 3, collecting ₹26 crore.
Earnings dropped significantly on Day 4 as Emraan's film raked in ₹9.24 crore, followed by ₹9.75 crore on Day 5, ₹6.75 crore on Day 6, ₹6 crore on Day 7, and ₹5.75 crore on Day 8.
Overseas, the film collected ₹1.50 crore on Day 10, taking its total overseas gross to ₹30.30 crore. The worldwide gross collection stands at 192.80 crore.

Batwara 1947 box office collections witnessed a 13% growth on Day 10 from its Day 9 earnings. It raked in ₹1.30 crore on Sunday across 5,402 shows.
This daily addition pushed the total India net collection to ₹36.80 crore, while the domestic gross revenue currently stands at ₹43.67 crore.
Overseas screenings added only ₹50 lakhs on Day 10, elevating the total international gross to ₹8.85 crore.
The worldwide collection of Sunny's film now stands at ₹52.52 crore.
