On opening day of the fourth Test between India and Australia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese drove around the Narendra Modi Stadium and met with both the teams. (More Cricket News)

Modi and Albanese handed over Test caps to team captains Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith, before a formal meet and greet with the other players. Thousands applauded when the two world leaders took a spin around the field in a golf cart dressed up with cricket props and a message of Indo-Australian friendship.

Modi and Albanese were also seen singing their respective national anthems prior to the start of the match.

The two PMs visited the 'Hall of Fame’ museum at the world’s largest cricket stadium. 

Albanese arrived here on Wednesday and attended some programs, while Modi reached the state late on Wednesday night. 

India lead the four match series 2-1. Australian captain Smith won the toss and opted to bat.
