The big talk around Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was the release of their huge money buy from last season's auction, Harry Brook along with other host of international stars such as Adil Rashid and Akeal Hosein ahead of the IPL 2024 auction on December 19. Brook, an English T20 sensation, was brought by SRH for a whopping 13.5 crore in the last auction. However, the Englishman could only muster 190 runs in 11 IPL games with one century. As for Rashid, he played only two matches, and scalped a couple of wickets. Akeal Hosein too played a single IPL match and scalped a wicket. Other players released are Indian uncapped players Karthik Tyagi, Vivrant Sharma and Samarth Vyas.

SRH will have a big purse of INR 34 crore to go big in the upcoming IPL 2024 auction on December 19.
In a player trade, SRH traded Mayank Dagar, to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in exchange for Shahbaz Ahmed, another all-rounder.
