Pakistan cricket team are scheduled to play a five-match T20I bilateral series against New Zealand starting on Friday, January 12. This will be Pakistan's first T20I series of the year which also has a T20 World Cup coming in June. (More Cricket News)
New Zealand have announced their squad for the home series and star batter Kane Williamson will be leading the side in the highly anticipated bilateral series. Matt Henry, who was out of the side due to injury will also make his comeback against Pakistan in the T20Is.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier announced that former pacer Yasir Arafat will join the team as a 'high-performance coach' for the New Zealand tour. Arafat replaced Simon Helmot who will the team due to personal commitments. Arafat has previously coached in New Zealand and England.

Shaheen Afridi will lead the Pakistan side for the first time in T20Is and looking at the upcoming T20 World Cup in West Indies and United States Of America, he will be trying to come up with a fixed combination. Aamer Jamal and youngster Saim Ayub have also been added to the squad.
