Indian spinning duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav achieved this rare feat when they became the first pair of Indian left-arm spinners to scalp seven wickets in an One-Day International match.

The pair achieved this feat during the first ODI against the West Indies in India's five-wicket win at Barbados on Thursday. Kuldeep Yadav returned with the figures of 4/6 in three overs whereas Ravindra Jadeja scalped three for 37.

"I thought it will be a seaming paradise, we are happy we got 7 wickets from our side. It was spinning a bit, and there was bounce as well. It's always good to have competition, we just try to work together," Player of the Match Kuldeep said after the match.

Earlier, India had won the toss and opted to field first. West Indies batters never took off as they were bundled out cheaply for 114 in 23 overs. In reply, Ishan Kishan's 46-ball 52 led the way as India won by five wickets despite a mini-collapse.

For a first, India's mainstays Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma did not come out at their usual batting slots as Team India management experimented with their batting line-up.

The skipper himself came into bat at No. 7 and said that it made him take a trip down memory lane when he used to come in at that number as a rookie.

"I made my debut for India and was batting at number 7, reminded me of those days," Rohit said.
