Travis Head continued his good run with the bat for Australia, scoring a 106-ball hundred against India in the summit clash of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) in London on Wednesday.
Head's century is the first milestone of this nature in a WTC final, as the previous final played between India and New Zealand in 2010 saw no player reach the three-figure mark.
Head came into bat after Australia lost Marnus Labuschagne, with the scorecard reading 76-3. Like he has recently, Head started of aggressively, taking on the bowlers, punishing any ball that was full or wide.
Steve Smith was the silent partner, as both batters put on over 150 runs for the fourth wicket.

After being put into bat first, Australia lost the in-form Usman Khawaja for a duck and later, David Warner for a well-composed 60-ball 43.
Head has been in tremendous form in the 2021-23 cycle of the WTC, having scored 1300+ runs, including four hundreds and seven fifties.
