Charles Leclerc vowed that Ferrari will continue to push on after he took third place in Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.
Leclerc fended off a race-long challenge from reigning Formual One world champion Max Verstappen to claim his fifth podium of the season.
The Monegasque driver almost gave up his place in the top three after a lock-up with six laps remaining, but Verstappen was unable to navigate a way around him.
It marked a significant improvement by Ferrari, with the Scuderia arriving at Spa with a new set of upgrades for their car.
Leclerc's finish, along with Lewis Hamilton crossing the line in seventh, consolidated Ferrari's place in second in the Constructors' Championship.
And while Ferrari find themselves 268 points adrift of runaway leaders McLaren, Leclerc feels positive ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix next weekend.
"Honestly, we've had what we expected from this upgrade and that's really positive," Leclerc said.
"We need to keep learning on how to maximise this new upgrade. It's still pretty new, but it's a good first weekend, and I'm happy that we are on the podium.
"We will keep pushing and hopefully soon we will put a bit more pressure on the McLarens."
Hamilton, meanwhile, labelled his time in Belgium as a "weekend to forget" despite finishing inside the top 10 after starting from the pit lane due to power unit and set-up changes.
The seven-time world champion had made up five places by lap 10, and went on to finish with 11 overtakes.
However, Hamilton failed to make it past the first qualifying sessions for both the sprint and Sunday's race.
"I always enjoy those sorts of conditions," said Hamilton. "It was massively tricky being that far back in conditions where, at the beginning, it was really not that easy to see.
"Then we had the rolling start, which I don't think they needed to do. I don't really know why they did that one because it had dried up quite a lot and the spray wasn't that bad.
"I'm happy to have come from all the way back there, recovered and got into the points.
"Not the result that I want this weekend, and definitely a weekend to forget, but positives to take from the car today.
"The team did a great job as they always do throughout the weekend, and they did a great job with the strategy, so big thanks to them. I'll try and do a better job next weekend."
