The ongoing India Vs England fourth Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at Old Trafford in Manchester took a dramatic turn on Day 5. India, who were two wickets down for none yesterday, have managed to draw the match.

Let's take a look at what happened on 27 July, which is related to India's tour of England 2025.

India Take Lead

Day 5 of the fourth Test match started with India losing the wicket of set batter KL Rahul. Shubman Gill added runs with Washington Sundar but lost his wicket soon. Ravindra Jadeja joined Sundar, and the duo made centuries to help India take the lead in the match.

India conceded a lead of 311 runs in their first innings, and after that lead has been cancelled out, India managed to force a draw at Old Trafford.

Shubman Gill Shines

India Test captain Shubman Gill completed his ninth Test century and fourth of the ongoing series on Day 5 in Manchester. His 103 runs helped India take a lead in the match. He has made 722 runs in this series so far and is only behind Sir Don Bradman (810) in scoring the most runs in a Test series.

He also joined Sunil Gavaskar and Bradman by hitting a fourth Test century in the series as captain. He joined the greats in the elite list. He also joined Gavaskar and Virat Kohli in another list of four centuries as a player in a Test series.

Rahul Misses Ton

KL Rahul could not complete his century in Manchester on Day 5 of the ongoing Test match after being LBW out by Ben Stokes. He made 90 runs off 230 balls. He hit eight fours in his gritty knock. His knock was an important one for India as he batted for 70 overs and almost two and a half sessions.

He has made 511 runs in this series and is the second-highest run-scorer of the series after the Indian captain. Rishabh Pant, who is injured in his leg, is third on the list with 479 runs.

Jadeja And Sundar Partnership

Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar have added 100 runs for the fifth wicket so far at the Tea on Day 5. The duo has been the guiding force for India and helped their side take the lead in the match. India have taken a lead of 11 runs in the match at Tea.

Jadeja is unbeaten on 53 off 102 balls, and Sundar is unbeaten on 58 runs off 139 balls.
