A Jude Bellingham brace helped Real Madrid get the better of rivals FC Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the La Liga 2023-24 season. Bellingham scored his first in the 68th minute - a long-range piledriver - to bring his team back on level terms after Ilkay Gundogan had given the home side an early lead. The England international, though, continued his fine form by scoring his tenth goal in as many league games by converting from close range in the 92nd minute. (Match Report | More Football News)

Bellingham’s incredible start to life at Real Madrid since his multi-million transfer from Borussia Dortmund has seen the Englishman score 13 goals in 13 games across all competitions, including three in the UEFA Champions League. A Birmingham City academy graduate, Bellingham’s prolificacy has surprised even the Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who claimed as much in his post-match press conference.

"He scored a stupendous goal for the first and he was smart for the second," the Italian tactician said. "We're surprised. Everyone is surprised by his level, and his level of efficiency up front.

"He gets into the box, but today the shot [for the first goal] surprised us, he scored a stupendous goal... Right now he's the player who's making the difference."

Social media naturally was left in awe of Bellingham’s masterful performance, which has become a recurring theme this season, and gave its collective verdict for the same. Here are some of the best reactions to the Englishman’s El Clasico display:
