After an awe-inspiring performance in the Asia Cup final last weekend which he later said “felt like a dream”, India seamer Mohammed Siraj has reclaimed his number one spot in the men's ICC One-Day International (ODI) bowling rankings. Siraj previously held the numero uno position between January and March 2023 before being displaced by Josh Hazlewood. (More Cricket News)

Siraj scalped six wickets in the Asia Cup summit clash against Sri Lanka, including five wickets in 16 balls, as the hosts crumbled to 50 all out. On the back of that performance, Siraj ended up with 10 wickets at the continental tournament and has climbed eight positions in the ICC rankings to emerge at the top again.

The remarkable Siraj spell in the Asia Cup final included a four-wicket over, a feat that has only been achieved three times in men's ODI history before.

Meanwhile, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has dropped three places from sixth to ninth despite taking nine wickets at the Asia Cup at an average of 11.44.

Among the Indian batters, openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma have retained their second and 10th spots in the rankings respectively, while middle-order mainstay Virat Kohli moved up a rung to be placed eighth.

Hardik Pandya is the only Indian all-rounder in the top 20. The Gujarat Titans skipper has climbed up a spot to now occupy the sixth spot.
