Three security personnel sustained injuries during a heated encounter with militants in the higher reaches of the Halan forest area of Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, as reported by the police on Friday.
The gunbattle erupted in the south Kashmir district, with security forces engaging in intense operations to combat the militants. The Kashmir Zone Police confirmed the injuries to the security personnel and promptly tweeted, "Three (03) jawans got injured in the encounter. They are being evacuated to the hospital for treatment."
The authorities have intensified the search and combing operations in the area to track down the militants and restore peace and security in the region, according to PTI.
