Protesting against the communal violence in Haryana's Nuh and Gurugram, activists of Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal are holding protests at multiple places in the national capital today, causing traffic jams in several parts of the city.
In a bid to maintain the law and order, police have also beefed up security at sensitive places in Delhi in the wake of clashes neighbouring Haryana.
Protests by Bajrang Dal and VHP caused traffic jams at Vikas Marg which connects east Delhi to the central parts of the city.
Several videos have surfaced on social media showing Bajrang Dal supporters reciting Hanuman Chalisa near the Nirman Vihar Metro Station. Later, they tried to block Vikas Marg but were removed by police.

VHP reported death of Bajrang Dal activist
Vishva Hindu Parishad on Wednsday reported the death of a Bajrang Dal activist during treatment in a Delhi hospital following which the death toll in the communal violence in Haryana rose to six.
District Vice-President of Vishva Hindu Parishad Surendra Tanwar said during the violence in Nuh on Monday, Bajrang Dal activist Pradeep Sharma was attacked by the rioters and critically injured.
He was undergoing treatment at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital where he died, the VHP district vice-president said.
A VHP office-bearer alleged that the people of a particular community attacked pilgrims during a religious procession to the ancient Nallhad Shiv Temple in Nuh. The processing was organised by VHP's youth wing Bajrang Dal.

“In the violence, hundreds of vehicles have been damaged and set on fire. Two police home guards have died, while pilgrims, Bajrang Dal workers have been injured,” VHP's Noida Mahanagar mantri Dinesh said on Tuesday.
VHP's publicity chief Rahul Dubey yesterday said the protest march would start from the Noida stadium in Sector 21A towards Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16, where an effigy would be burnt.
The demonstration is being planned at a time when restrictions under CrPC section 144 are placed in Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
