Massive Fire Breaks Out At High-Rise Building In Mumbai's Dombivali, No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out in the duct of an 18-storey high-rise building in Dombivali, located in the Thane district. Despite the intensity of the incident, no injuries were reported.

Yasin Tadvi, the chief of Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell told PTI that the blaze ignited at 1:30 pm in the building with 108 flats in Khoni village on Saturday, was successfully extinguished within an hour, thanks to the timely deployment of two fire engines.

The fire, which originated in the duct and rapidly spread from the ground floor to the top floor, destroyed plastic fitments.

Tadvi assured that an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.

Officials confirmed that residents of the high-rise were able to safely evacuate the premises as the fire remained confined to one side of the structure. No injuries or casualties have been reported.
