Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine on the sidelines of the G-7 Summit in Hiroshima. According to Ministry of External Affairs, the leaders discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and emphasized the importance of humanity and human values in resolving the crisis.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude for Ukraine's cooperation in the safe evacuation of Indian students and welcomed the decision of Ukrainian institutions to conduct examinations for these students in India.

India reaffirmed its firm support for dialogue and diplomacy as the means to find a way forward in the Ukraine conflict. Prime Minister Modi assured that India, personally and as a nation, would spare no effort to contribute to a peaceful resolution within its means.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India's commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine, highlighting the nation's ongoing support in addressing the pressing needs of the affected population.

President Zelenskyy briefed Prime Minister Modi on the current situation in Ukraine, offering insights into the complexities and challenges faced by the nation.
