Tragedy struck on Sunday as a vehicle was tragically engulfed by a landslide in the Thakti area, along the Kailash Mansarovar road in the Dharchula subdivision. According to officials, the incident unfolded at approximately 2 pm when a vehicle traveling from Bundi was caught in the relentless force of the landslide, burying it beneath a mound of debris.

Reports suggest that there were more than seven individuals inside the ill-fated vehicle when the calamity struck, as confirmed by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Divesh Shashni, who referenced eyewitness accounts, PTI reported. 

In response to this grave situation, a collaborative search and rescue operation has been swiftly launched, involving the State Disaster Response Force, local police, the Indo Tibetan Border Police, and the Army, all working tirelessly to locate and assist any survivors trapped in the aftermath of this tragic event.
