Country singer Morgan Wallen shocks fans with new look; here's why he did it

Famous country singer from Tennessee, Morgan Wallen, shocked his fans on Friday when they saw their favourite singer without his mullet. At the Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Wallen stepped on the concert stage without his signature mullet, which dropped jaws in the crowd. Since the singer first entered the music industry, the mullet had been an iconic part of his appearance, and its absence has sent his fans into a frenzy.

On August 11, when the singer stepped on stage, Morgan debuted a freshly shaved face. He entered the stage wearing a red ball cap over a freshly shaved head. As soon as the singer made his appearance, all his fans went crazy. Watching fans' reactions, Morgan began the concert by addressing the change and said, "Before we begin with the concert, I want all of you to know that I didn't like my mullet anymore and that's why I shaved it off."

Several fans took to social media and shared the video of Morgan's transformation, and ever since, , social media has been divided on whether they like the new haircut of their favourite singer or not.

Meanwhile, during an interview with Outsider, Morgan shared that his father, Tommy, was an inspiration behind his long hair look, and to honour his father, the singer also tried a mullet.

Currently, Morgan is basking in the glory of his record-breaking tour, One Night At A Time. The tour began on March 15 in Auckland, New Zealand. So far, it has included two sold-out shows at American Family Field in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.

The singer revealed that people often ask him if he wants to take a short break from music.  In response, Morgan told them that he is not in the mood to take a break and wants to write more and produce more music. As of now, the last leg of Morgan's tour is scheduled for October 7, 2023.

So far, the singer has released three albums along with 13 singles. In his career, Wallen has also released four EPs.
