It’s Deepika Padukone‘s birthday today on January 5, and on the special occasion, the team of her upcoming film ‘Fighter’ shared an exciting BTS (behind-the-scenes) video of the actress. In the video, she is seen acting goofy on the sets of Siddharth Anand’s directorial, and it gives a glimpse of how Deepika is behind the camera.
For those caught unaware, ‘Fighter’ is one of the biggest aerial action spectacles of India, and stars Hrithik Roshan as the male lead. On Deepika’s birthday, the film’s production house Viacom 18 dropped the BTS video featuring Deepika Padukone, thereby giving a sneak peek into Deepika’s character Minni. From seen style dropping in the song sequences to rocking her Squadron Leader look from the Air Dragons unit, Deepika is a delight to watch. In one of the shots, she along with Siddharth Anand, does a goofy bhangra step. She is seen having a gala time with her ‘Fighter’ squad, and it is a proof of her off-screen camaraderie.
Meanwhile, the film’s director, Siddharth Anand, had recently spoken about Deepika’s character, and mentioned Minni is the kind of role Deepika has not played earlier. Talking to India Today, he had said, “Deepika is playing an Air Force officer in Fighter. She’s part of the unit, the elite unit of the Air Force, and it’s based on a lot of reality and authenticity. So it’s something that Deepika has not played before. She has literally bitten into it and, honestly, it’s a lot like her in real life.”

He had added that working with Deepika is a delight on sets. He said, “Deepika is so much fun on set. And, she’s translating that character as a real good ‘takkar’ (competition) to Hrithik’s character. So it’s very exciting.”
The film is scheduled to release on January 25.
