In the year 2023, Bollywood witnessed several blockbusters like 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', 'Gadar 2', 'The Kerala Story' and 'Animal' among others. Two big releases of last year- 'Dunki' and 'Salaar' are still having a good run at the box office and they are already blockbusters. Like last year, this year also promises to offer a captivating cinematic experience as there are some exciting films of various genres lined up. 2024 seems to be a remarkable year for Bollywood both commercially and artistically.
Here is the list of Bollywood releases to look forward to in 2024
'Merry Christmas'
'Merry Christmas' starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethpathi is the first theatrical release of 2024. The film marks Katrina and Vijay's first collaboration. The trailer released recently and it created excitement among the audience. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the thriller is all set to hit the screens on January 12.

'Main Atal Hoon'
'Main Atal Hoon' is a biopic on former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Pankaj Tripathi has played the titular role and he has very well got into the skin of the character. The film is releasing in theatres on January 19.
'Fighter'
'Fighter' is a highly anticipated movie of 2024. The movie has been creating a lot of buzz since its announcement. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, it is the first aerial drama starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan. The film is all set to set the screens on fire on January 25. It also stars Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi.

Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon's Untitled Film
Shahid and Kriti's film is yet to be titled. Produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, it is slated to hit the screens on February 9, 2024.
'Love Sex Aur Dhoka 2'
It was last year, that Ekta Kapoor announced that 'LSD2' will arrive in cinemas on February 16, 2024. The first part was released in the year 2010 and was directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The second part is also directed by Dibakar.
'Soorarai Pottru' Hindi Remake
'Soorarai Pottru' Hindi remake that stars Akshay Kumar as the lead will release on February 16, 2024. It also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal. The original film starred Suriya and it was directed by Sudha Kongara. The remake is also helmed by her. It was earlier set to release on September 1, 2023.
'Metro…In Dino'
Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro… In Dino’ which has an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is releasing on March 29.
'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'
'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' brings together Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial which was originally scheduled to be released on December 22, 2023, will now be released on Eid 2024 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha'
Ajay Devgn and Tabu have come together for 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' after 'Drishyam 2'. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film also stars Tabu, Saiee M Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari. The film will span two decades, from 2002 to 2023. It is releasing on April 26.

'Chandu Champion'
Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘Chandu Champion' stars Kartik Aaryan. It is a sports-centric film based on a true story. It is slated to hit the cinemas on June 14, 2024.
'Singham Again'
'Singham Again' will reportedly hit the theatres on Independence Day, August 15, 2024. The date is yet to be announced by the makers.
'Stree 2'
'Stree 2' is the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster horror-comedy. It stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. The film will release on August 30.
'Jigra'
Vasan Bala's directorial 'Jigra' stars Alia Bhatt as the lead. Apart from acting, Alia has also produced the film with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. It is scheduled for release on September 27.

'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'
After the blockbuster, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', Kartik Aaryan will be back as Rooh Baba in the third part. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film is set to hit theatres on Diwali.
'Emergency'
Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Emergency' which was scheduled last year will now release in the last quarter of 2024. Kangana is playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
'Welcome To The Jungle'
'Welcome To The Jungle' which features 24 actors is releasing on December 20, 2024. The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez and Raveena Tandon among others.
