Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan-starrer film 'Adipurush', which depicts the Indian epic of 'The Ramayana', will release in India and globally on June 16. Prior to that, it will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13.

While Saif Ali Khan will be seen in the role of the antagonist, portraying Ravana in the Om Raut’s directorial, Prabhas will be playing the role of Ram or Raghav in the film and Kriti will play Janaki. The film’s promotions are expected to start soon but it has now been reported that Saif will be missing from the promotions.

According to E-Times, Saif would skip ‘Adipurush’ promotions because he will be off for his annual vacation with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and sons Taimur and Jeh. However, an official confirmation on this is still awaited.

The portal also mentioned that ‘Adipurush’ promotions will more-or-less focus ‘entirely on Prabhas’. “The promotions are being planned at a lowkey level and they will centre almost entirely on Prabhas who plays the central character inspired by Rama. Prabhas has given dates for promotion in May,” the portal quoted an insider as saying.

Meanwhile, last year, when the trailer of the film was released, several fans expressed their disappointment and asserted that the VFX of the film was ‘ugly’ and ‘disappointing’.
