Ektaa Kapoor is unquestionably a Content Czarina who brought her astute business acumen and creative sensibility to the Indian entertainment industry in the past few decades. The Padma Shri laureate has over the years redefined the landscape of Indian television and then went on to take the movie business by storm.
Over the years she cemented her position as the undisputed leader of the small screen, with one historic show after another, and later captured the imagination of Indian audiences on OTT. However, she recently walked away from her OTT platform ALTBalaji, which is now just called ALTT.

Ektaa Kapoor has been a regular on the Variety 500 Annual List from 2017 right through 2023, with every year celebrating a new achievement and breakthrough.

In 2019, she was amongst the 10 Indians to make it to Variety 500's Important People in Global Media list. And was also part of the same list the next year in 2020, which also won her a spot on Fortune India's 50 Most Powerful Women in Business. In 2021 Ektaa Kapoor made it to the '500 Most Influential Business Leaders Shaping the global media industry' list and was the only Indian woman to feature on it.

In 2022 she was part of the '500 Most Important People in Global Media' list highlighting the works of those who deserve a pat on the back for excelling in their jobs at a time when it was tough to break out from the pack and distinguish oneself.

Ahead of this, In 2023, Ektaa Kapoor was listed for making content that caters to a larger audience and is available to people much beyond the bigger cities of India.
