BLACKPINK Makes History, Sets Unprecedented Records As Highest-Grossing Vocal Group

The South Korean girl band, BLACKPINK continues to redefine musical success, now by claiming the title for the highest-grossing concert by a vocal group in history. The four membered group is climbing on top of charts and establishing themselves as global stars. 

Data indicates that their 'Born Pink World Tour' performance on August 18 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, was not only sold out but also earned a staggering $11.429 million, making it their highest-grossing concert to date. This tour is in support of their second studio album 'Born Pink,' released in 2022.

Simultaneously, the tour's Australian leg also played a significant role in them getting this title. They performed at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena twice, collecting $4,717,576 with 25,926 attendees per show. Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena also sold out two nights to 23,145 fans each night and drawing in $4,100,980.

Amidst their highly anticipated global tour, The 'How You Like That' singers have scored one more title by becoming the highest-grossing tour ever by a female group in the Oceania area. Their four sold out shows amassed a total of $8.8 million from 49,071 tickets sold.

The adjusted gross earning of BLACKPINK’s World Tour is estimated at around $281,033,955 with 1,578,618 tickets sold out of 66 shows all across the world. They surpassed Spice Girls' 'Spice World – 2019 Tour' which previously held the record at $89,508,109.

The group's four members -- Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé -- have renewed their contracts with their agency, YG Entertainment, putting an end to all disbanding rumors and putting a smile on all Blinks' faces. However, the update about their individual contract renewals are still under wraps.
