Ali starred in Vikram Bhatt's film called 'Khamoshiyan' with Sapna Pabbi and Gurmeet Choudhary. The movie tanked at the box office. It was produced by Mahesh Bhatt and written by Vikram Bhatt

Speaking to Cyrus Broacha on his YouTube channel, the 'Mirzapur' actor said that 'Khamoshiyan' was a “bad film”. Ali said, “Vikram Bhatt came on board to shadow direct this other boy Karan (Darra, director).”

He also said that it was not supposed to be a horror film but since Vikram came on board, and he was known for making horror films, he made it a horror flick. For the unversed, Vikram had made films like 'Raaz', 'Haunted', '1920', and 'Creature 3D' among others.

Ali added, “It turned into this really cheap horror film but the songs were amazing. And the songs turned out to be big Arijit hits.”

On the work front, Ali Fazal was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's film 'Khufiya' that was released on Netflix. It also starred Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. He also starred in the Hollywood film 'Kandahar' with Gerard Butler. He will be next seen in the third season of 'Mirzapur' as Guddu Bhaiya. The release date is yet to be announced.
